RENTALS TERMS & CONDITIONS

Each villa is a private home. Grenadine Hills (the “Company”) acts as agent for the owner in facilitating the rental.

Bookings

All reservations will be confirmed in writing and will not be considered guaranteed until the first deposit has been paid. No reservation however will be confirmed more than 12 months prior to arrival. Any requests for dates more than 12 months ahead will be provisionally held and confirmed 12 months prior to arrival.

Deposits

Reservations must be accompanied at the time of booking by a 10% non-refundable deposit. A further payment of 40% is required and becomes non-refundable 6 months or 180 days prior to the date of arrival. The remaining 50% of the rental is due 3 months or 90 days prior to the date of arrival and is immediately non-refundable. Deposits on a villa rental will not be refunded if a visit is delayed or cancelled because of transportation difficulties. Guests are therefore urged to purchase travel insurance. To avoid delays, exchange rate fluctuations and bank charges, it is requested that payments be made by wire transfer.

Check in and Check out times

Villa Check in is at 4pm.
Villa Check out is at 12pm.

Should your flight to Bequia arrive earlier or if your departing flight is later, alternative arrangements will be made for your comfort. In the event that your villa does not have an arrival on your departure date, your check out time may be extended however this must be confirmed in writing prior to arrival by your Villa Rentals agent. Our on-island account manager/Villa Manager will reconfirm departure arrangements upon arrival, and we ask that you respect our arrival and departure times.

Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA)

APA is an advance payment required to be made to fund estimated costs of various services used and accumulated during your stay in the villa. These funds will be kept in your guest account (as detailed below). Statements of such costs will be made available upon departure. Receipts of individual items available upon request. Excess funds will be refunded after departure. The guest agrees to let the company use said funds to payment of but not limited to; food, drink and transportation, select restaurants, hotel services etc. This may need to be added to during the stay. The estimated amount

will be approximately 25-35% of the accommodation cost, but is dependent on how many guests are in your party. A 20% admin fee will be added to all grocery/food and drink receipts and procurement costs and invoices paid by us from the APA or your CC.

A discretionary tip of 5% of the total accommodation cost will be added to your bill which is distributed evenly between all the staff.

Guest Accounts

Upon arrival a guest account will be opened in your name. Any outstanding balance on your guest account, including all incidentals, must be settled prior to departure at the company office.

The Grenadine Hills Company will endeavor to collect all receipts and invoices prior to your departure, however for last minute grocery orders this is not always possible, and your credit card will be charged for any late invoices which may come in after your departure. Your card will not be charged without prior notice and all receipts will be made available.

I acknowledge that I have read and understood these terms and conditions and agree to be bound by them. I undertake to sign a hard copy of these terms and conditions on arrival in Bequia solely in order to provide a physical record of my agreement.

Villa Staffing

The villas are fully staffed by the owners or company with a maid, butler/breakfast cook and in many instances, additional personnel. We can provide a chef at extra cost for the whole or part of your rental period. The cost per meal is USD $250 or USD $450 per day for the villa guests. Chef services on Public holidays will be double the above rate. These rates do not include food.

Members of household staff are employees of the villa’s owner and not of the Company.

The undersigned guest is responsible for all acts of the undersigned guest’s family and all other persons invited into the villa. Guests must keep the villa and all appliances, equipment, furniture, furnishings and other personal property supplied therewith, clean and in good order and repair. Failure to do so will entitle the owner, or the Company on behalf of the owner, to make appropriate repairs at the undersigned guest’s expense. However, guests are not responsible for ordinary wear or damages by the elements. Guests must give the Company immediate notice in case of fire or other damage to the villa or contents.

Parties and Special Events

Each Villa is a private home. Should you wish to hold a party or a special event at the Villa, this will require pre-approval and will incur additional costs.

Liability

Your rental villa is a private property. In consideration of being extended the privilege of staying and visiting and using its amenities, each guest acknowledges and assumes the risk of injury, death, property loss or damage arising out of use of the island and all amenities thereon, from hazards known and unknown.

Neither the Company nor the villa owner, nor any employees and agents of either, shall be liable for any injury, death, property loss or damage occurring to any occupant of a villa or user of the island, and the undersigned guest hereby agrees to hold the Company and the villa owners, and all employees and agents thereof, harmless from any and all claims, suits, liabilities, damages, and expenses of every kind, including, without limitation, attorneys’ fees and costs of litigation or arbitration, arising out of any claim by or in favor of any person resulting from injury, death or property loss or damage occurring to any person in the undersigned’s party or any person using the villa as an invitee of either the undersigned or a person in the undersigned’s party, whether such injury, death, loss or damage occurs on the property, in or upon the surrounding waters, or during transit to and/or from the property.

Vehicle Rentals

Should you require a rental vehicle/s during you stay please advise inform your Villa Manager of this upon booking.

The law of St Vincent and the Grenadines and Driving

All persons on Bequia must comply with the laws of St Vincent and the Grenadines, including but not limited to driving regulations. Additionally, no person is entitled to drive on the island if not in possession of the St Vincent and the Grenadines driving license, which can be obtained for a fee of XCD 100.

The undersigned guest agrees to comply with and ensure that his guests comply with all driving regulations, including but not limited to the prohibitions on driving under the age of 18, driving whilst under the influence of drink or drugs and driving carelessly or dangerously. The undersigned guest hereby agrees to hold the Company and all employees and agents thereof harmless from any and all costs of every kind including, without limitation, attorneys’ fees and costs of litigation or arbitration, arising from any attempt deemed reasonable by the Company in its sole discretion to prevent the breach of any driving regulation by the undersigned guest or any guest of the undersigned guest or to advance any legal action against persons in breach of any driving regulation by the undersigned guest or any guest of the undersigned guest.

Law

This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of St. Vincent and the Grenadines and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
